As a Dance Practitioner I have had the privilege of providing children’s creative dance sessions on the behalf of Rhondda Cynon Taff Community Arts. Working with the young people to create work to perform in the Park and Dare Theatre. During my time at University I developed an interest in early years work and have recently enjoyed leading weekly movement sessions at Darling Buds Nursery’s.
I have also built a relationship with The Gate Art Centre, providing regular Contemporary Technique Classes and developing a Community Dance Platform to provide an opportunity for local dance groups to perform. I also lead Dancercise classes combining fitness and creativity, at The Gate and other venues around Cardiff.
Along side teaching I am also interested in performing and choreography. I have recently finished a project with UWIC Connections Dance Company, creating ‘Bitter Sweet’ with the company, which was performed at Theatre Brychneiniog. I also had the privilege of being part of WID New Graduate Showcase, giving me the opportunity to work with two respected Welsh choreographers Tanja Råman and Sean Tuan John.
